Interesting site but I know a little about the subject of vitamin D, and think you are dead wrong about the need to expose ourselves to EXTRA solar radiation. A little sun goes a very long way. Normal activities provide more than enough vitamin D . Really.
That might be true if you live in Australia but Vitamin D Maps of North America show that we are very short indeed. More here
